It is only important to realize that homosexuality is NOT a choice because religious people say that gay people can CHOOSE their orientation. This video offers a neat scientific analysis of why that's wrong. Those who say that homosexuality is "unnatural; therefore, wrong" are guilty of 'naturalistic fallacy' ala G. E. Moore. This is because whether something is 'natural' or 'unnatural' is irrelevant to whether it is moral or not. Cannibalism, rape, genocide, and tribalism may be 'natural', but they aren't also GOOD for that reason. Books, shoes, and civilization may be 'unnatural', but they aren't therefore BAD.
