Some examples of the effects of "Hailstorm", a LEGO Zamor-launcher. It uses a single motor (here, an NXT motor) to drive two crankshafts. Each crankshaft in turn drives two Zamor launchers, for a total of four launchers operating in a carefully staggered phasing that launches 9+ balls each second (with new batteries... yes, it matters). Making the structure & mechanism strong and rigid enough to handle the stresses (you can see it flex during the slow motion parts). This is an evolution of the DAZLR and QuAZLR launching mechanism, but much tighter packing of launchers, and a much larger ammo magazine.
