the Bible states that this world we live in is but a shadow of the world to come. It also states that everything in this world is but a copy of the real thing in heaven. Imagine a world that is constructed by a computer that is vastly more advanced than what we have now and creates a reality with beings in that universe thinking that they live in a "normal" world with 3 dimensions they can directly observe like we do but in reality our reality is a higher one than theirs. We'd see them as 2 d

I'll bet anything the brain has a clock signal just like any microprocessor, and that's what regulates how "fast" we experience everything, i.e. how fast our brain goes through the calculations to analyze our senses as well as emulate sentience.

And I gather you pulled that statistic from the depths of your ass?

Does thinking you know the truth constitute impersonating God? (Agnostic Theist btw, so don't even try slandering me with atheist comments.)

The key point of the Plato allegory is becoming aware of taking assumptions as reality & digging deeper for truth, so "light" is not physical, but of awakening understanding. My prior comment was of "physical" reality's underlying basis. The 4th dimension in the vid is of time, or duration. Coordinates of your house must include "when" to be able to yield your house. What field is bullshit free? Politics? Commerce? News? Sometimes "bullshit" is a place marker for where thinking gave out.

In Platos example one can observe the light and ask where it comes from. We cannot observe any effect of the 4th dimension, though in an other video a guy has gone into some deep theories that might prove something thats unexplainable in the 3rd, i'll have to look into it. Though videos like this are bullshit.

OMFG4: Theories usually start as BS and beginning assumptions change via experiments. If reality is what it is but it's never perceivable by anyone except it's originator, it's actual nature will always be unknown to us. So what sort of testing could be done on the ungraspable? Didn't hear the word religion anywhere in this.

Only God, The Creator knows the truth. Only God can reveal the truth to everyone, as in the truth will be as clear as day to all. Not "partial" explanations by people ((scientists and all) (no offence)) who only 0.00005% of people can understand.

Eternal Time (Duration) is real, but manifested time (on this 3d reality) is an illusion.
omfg4000 (November 20th, 2009 @ 5:02 pm)
This is also BS. It shows the fallacy in assuming that ones theory is right just because it could be. You see, reality is not what we percive it to be, it's what it is. And if someone in that cave of Platos really wanted to test if the thing was as it was, he could. One way or an other. You cannot "test" the Hypcercube, in any empirical way. Stop trying to invent a new religion.

True, it's a matter of perspective... If your in a system, you're limited.

i try to believe what physicists discover about all this stuff...but i still cant totally accept it because i believe capability of human senses and mind is very limited to reason out...
