I read in Mark Blake's Pink Floyd book that it was one of the roadies word for a shag, e.g., "I'm off for a bit of ummagumma."

iammathers-- a point of education for you--Firstly,in case you are unaware, there is no such language as "british" and secondly, Being English, myself I have never heard that "ummagumm" means what you say -- it is actually a phrase used by kids to indicate when something goes wrong!!
