No this came much, much earlier. Bucky O'Hare started as a graphic novel (which, BTW, was much darker and mature in tone than the cartoon) in the late 70's, and this cartoon was made in 1991, Starfox as we know it (with the anthropomorphic fox) didn't come to be until 1993.

nah the stuff today ain't the same man. Looks horrible. Saturday morning cartoons are even going the way of the dinosaurs. Cartoons are A) Quickly drawn unrealistic cheap half assed jobs or B) 3d. The Cartoons we grew up with don't exist. The time and money spent on doing a good job isn't there anymore.

Yeah I LOVED this show. Sad it only got one season. It was like Starwars in a 30 minute cartoon.

still if u compare some digital animation (even hand drawn cartoons today, if u notice are cleaner looking and brighter) as compare to cartoons in the past, as in "Bucky," you lose a lot of detail and specific marks the artists gave the cartoon, like dust particles, smudges, line marks etc. it loses its edgy look, and becomes boring and mass-produced looking. that's what i fear about animation today; that eventually people will forget how to draw themselves and just rely on comps 2 do evrythng.
