I know from experience that people inject speed. But you're right about Bobby and heroin. I just think it's a druggy song in general. "Playing with a spike" could be heroin (or maybe speed) and "velocity" implies speed.

You dont inject speed though, its a heroin reference. Bobby G is no stranger to smack.
