As such it's dificult to really peg a "right side" one can simply peg instigators. the commonwealth, due to Britain's Network of alliances, wound up supporting the War's instigator's rather then the nations wronged by those actions. The First would have been a much different war had Britain held stronger alliances to Germany and Austria then to France and by extension Serbia. the Post War economic rape of Germany would likely not have occured, and by extension, neither would hitler's rise.

While canadian Myself, And immensely proud of the accomplishments of Canada as a nation during the first World war. a few Error's leaked into this video. the first world war had nothing to do with freeing anybody, or preserving freedom. it was an entirely political machination brought on by an assasination and the German/austrian repsonse to said assasination. said response was a retributive action for an attack upon the Succession of the Austro-hungarian throne.

Don't forget the inspiring leader!!: A man you'd want to serve and serve well, General Arthur Currie, militiaman, realtor, schoolteacher - the whole of the CEF wanted to fight for this man, a true TOP warrior leading man in the history of generals - no bull crap, and cared about his men too.
