i think mesa dual recto's are still the best....marshall sounds good but i think mesa is a bit better

@brcalz That's why they matched up so well with old Les Paul's which were warm. I'd want a set-up that allows me to teeter on the line of too much and not enough treble. The options are endless and now guys like Owl City are doing the whole thing on keyboards and computers. Today's instruments are becoming obsolete.

slayer has some pretty intense licks but not a fan of their solos if you can even call them that

yes, you can de-activate "the beast" part of the amp, and then its just an normal jcm800 :)
