no, it's just a replacement of the touch pad

I'm really interested in this, and maybe you can help me. where do I have to connect exactly the four wire cable inside the KP2? and where can I find a touch screen KP2 similar (with led I mean) and how to connect it to the same four cable wire?

As I said before:
It's much more simple than that, I just replaced the original touch screen by the touch screen of the PDA.
The PDA is used only for the touch screen, no software and in fact no PDA needed.
I guess the best for you would be to have a four wires connector on your KP2 so you can hook up an external touch screen that would be on your guitar. May be add a selector switch on the ground wires of the screens to avoid interference if both screens are connected at the same time.

hey man, did he ever respond to you? cause im doing the same thing. im trying to put both a bigsby and a kp2 in my tele.... lol not enough room, so this would be sweet!

Hey, how does this work? Becuase this would be REALLY useful for my guitar project. Does it use the hardware directly, or is it software on the pda? Also, does this connect to the kaoss pad via a midi/serial cable or something?
Because i'm trying to make a guitar with a mounted kaoss pad in it, like matt bellamys. So far the only way I've found requires taking the KP to bits and sticking the screen from inside the KP in the guitar, rendering it useless with anything else.

The PDA screen is replacing the touch pad of the kp2. Moreover, I've put a rotating encoder to control the program and the hold switch on the PDA. So I have some control on the kp2.

oh right ok
but if u carry the pda u still havnt got the kp have u...so u have nothing to control

The point is that the touch pad of the kp2 was broken, ao I needed a replacement. And it's easier to carry a pda than the kp2 itself.
